About us
We empower individuals and families as they work toward becoming homebuyers. Future homeowners pay an affordable mortgage, gain hands on construction experience through sweat equity, and complete education courses throughout the process to become successful homeowners.
Mission
Putting God's love into action, Grants Pass Area Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Vision
To create a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Who we are
Grants Pass Area Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1992 when community members came together to build affordable housing with eligible families in Josephine County. In April 1993, Grants Pass Area Habitat for Humanity became an official affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International and received our 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation designation in July 1993. Over the past 29 years, we've built 23 affordable homes in partnership with families and community members.
Non-proselytizing
Grants Pass Area Habitat for Humanity will not proselytize, nor will we work with entities or individuals who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with Grants Pass Area Habitat for Humanity. We will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people (i) adhere or convert to a particular faith or (ii) listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
