Home number twenty-four for Grants Pass Area Habitat for Humanity is a special project as it marks the first home build since 2019, and we are thrilled to be back in action. The MacDowell family, who have been selected as the homebuyers, signed the homeowner agreement in early 2024, bringing hope and excitement to their journey towards homeownership. This new beginning symbolizes a fresh start for both the family and the community, showcasing the power of collaboration and support. With each nail hammered and wall raised, this home represents not just a physical structure, but a place filled with love, stability, and dreams coming true.
The MacDowell Family
" I want to give my kids a place they will know they are always safe, protected, and wanted no matter what happens in life. Secondly, I want to put down real roots…invest in real relationships with my neighbors, offer a place where we can gather and share life’s ups and downs and give thanks to God in community, and plant a garden and establish literal roots as well."
As March approached, the anticipation for the homeowner celebration hosted by Grants Pass Area Habitat for Humanity continued to grow. The MacDowell family, with hearts full of hope and excitement, broke ground in the ceremonial groundbreaking, marking the beginning of their journey towards homeownership. Surrounded by community members and volunteers, the event was a symbol of unity and support, showcasing the power of coming together to create change.
